CARVING OPTIONS
Each of the carving options below can be customized with any design of your choice.
Shape Carving
The outline of the design is sandblasted and the interior is shaped to create a 3-D look to the design. Shape carved is commonly used on Floral designs such, as Roses, Flowers and leaves. Shape Carving can aslo be used on things such as Praying Hands.
Sandblast or Flat Carving
This particlular type of work consist of placing a design on a rubberized mask cutting out the lines and outlines of the design and then sandblasting the expossed surface. Sandblasted or Flat Carving is the most commonly used form of Carving.
Sculpture/Statue Carving
Sculptures and granite statue carvings consist of an image that is hand sculpted using many different pneumatic chisels and other carving tools.
Etching
A hand etching cosist of using diamond tipped egraving tool to draw or "etch" directly onto a polished monument. An etching looks best when done on a polished black granite monument because this will give you the best contrast. Etchings can also be done using laser machines. These are called laser etchings. Etchings can even be done in color.
Over time Monuments and Markers are likely to become sunken in the ground, unlevel or in some cases can be knocked over. We can come out and properly fix your loved ones memorial.
We have special Chemical & Powder that is specifically for granite that cleans the growth off of the monuments, bringing them back to their original beauty.
